What makes our smokeless fire pits different to others? The simplest answer is much thicker steel.
(This is why they cost a little more too.) Our smokeless fire pits weigh over 40kg. (They take 2 people to lift them.) Once up to temperature, the sides of our fire pit radiate heat outwards and so are much better at keeping you and your guests warm on cold UK evenings. They are not just pretty to look at as is the case with many smokeless models. (Especially gas fuelled fire pits which don't give out much heat.) Also our fire pits are much deeper and wider than many in the market. So they can take a bigger logs of wood and more of it! This also allows our fire pits to generate more heat. You can even use our smokeless fire pits as an incenerator for garden waste. |
Why smokeless?Tired of smoke in your eyes, clothes & hair? You need our smokeless, wood-burning Fabulous Fire Pit.
We made the first UK-designed & UK-made smokeless fire pit back in 2020. Using “afterburner” technology, smoke is incinerated before it leaves the fire pit so you get a pure flame of heat with no smoke plus the aroma of the wood. No more smoke avoiding dances or upset neighbours. You can also cook on our pits with our adjustable height, rotating grills. All our fire pits are designed and manufactured in the UK and are built to last in UK weather even if left outside all year round. |
See the Fabulous SmokeFree Fire Pit In ActionThis video demonstrates lighting a smokeless fire pit, the fire getting up to temperature and creating the smokeless flame. Please note that there is a small amount of smoke as the fire pit gets up to temperature (it takes 5-10 mins to become smokeless) and when it cools down at the end.

Cooking on your smokless fire pitTurn your smokeless fire pit into a barbeque with our grill attachment.
The grill frame rotates 360 degrees and can be raised or lowered giving you lots of control. The stainless steel grill plate is removeable from the supporting frame for easy cleaning and stroage. The solid steel bar and frame are easily removeable when not being used as a barbeque. The whole frame is solidly constructed and designed to last years. |
How It WorksOur innovative "afterburner" technology injects air into the top of the fire pit for a smoke free burn! This is not an ethanol, bio fuel or gas fire pit. Simply burn wood and get no smoke once the fire pit is up to temperature after about 5-10 minutes.
You can burn regular seasoned wood in our smokeless fire pit. On our larger smokeless fire pits you can also burn damp wood and green garden waste without smoke once the fire pit is up to temperature.

Protecting your Patio Surface
Fire pits are designed to get HOT. And smokeless fire pits get VERY hot due to the more efficient burn. What you place your fire pit on is therefore important to consider.
An ideal surface is gravel as shown in the videos above. If you are concerned about clean up of ashes we offer an ash catching plate that sits under the fire pit. (We offer this for all smokeless models - do get in touch.) The ash plate will also help to protect surfaces *somewhat* but it also gets hot so you should still take precautions with sensitive surfaces such as porcelain tiles.

The larger your patio slabs are, the greater the potential for them to crack under the heat stresses caused by the fire - this may seem counter intuitive but is due to the relative expansion of the overall surface of your slab.
The simplest solution is to place the fire pit on another thicker slab or to raise it up slightly on a complete layer of bricks under the whole pit.
We can also custom make a steel gravel tray which the fire pit can sit on.
Note: So called "fire proof mats" do not work so don't be seduced into buying one of those!
If you have a wooden or composite deck I'm afraid our fire pits (or any other fire pit) are not suitable due to the inherent risk of the deck being burnt. You can consider cutting out a large enough section of your deck and inserting a fire proof surface such as gravel or reinforced concrete, but even that can be risky due to stray embers.
Always take steps to prevent your main patio from being damaged as we cannot be held liable for damage to your patio.
Always take sensible precautions when working with our fire pits and see our fire pit safety guide here.

Testimonials
"We own a piece of woodland and got fed up with buying cheaply made firepits that didn't last more than one or two seasons outside. Our Fabulous Fire Pit is such high quality and cheaper then previous ones. We expect it to last many years."
Sam T "We love our new fire pit - solidly build , looks great and so professional and a great size for a decent fire 🔥 or smaller one. We like the fact it’s near to the group and quite open as easier to get around, keep warm and toast marshmallows ... thanks 🙏 it’s perfect! Very easy to pack up and put away when camping."

"This is the second fire pit we have owned, and it's superb! It looks good, and performs brilliantly. We have the vents in the side, which really helps the fire take hold; and it lets out so much heat. Perfect for 'socially distanced' gatherings late into the night. We love that we can leave it out, or pack it away so easily too."
Peter Telford "We were really impressed with the quality of our fabulous fire pit and love the fact we can easily take it apart to clean it and store it during the winter."
