20 cm Tall Upstand For Fabulous Fire Pit
A taller upstand to allow our large 60cm square or large 80cm octagonal firepit to be used on grass to help reduce grass scorching when used with sand in the base. See our fire making instructions here.
Please note that this cannot completely eliminate grass scorching by the very nature of (especially large) fires.
This has been designed with campers in mind where campsites allow fires. Some campsite owners do not allow the burning of fires at all so check before using one.
You should never use a fire pit near long grass due to the fire risks, especially in dry conditions.
Fire pit not included, just the upstand. ;-)
